What are the benefits of a full mouth reconstruction?

If you have a variety of dental problems that you want to address, it can be quicker and more economical to address them all as part of a full mouth reconstruction. So, for example, we could fill cavities, replace missing teeth, straighten and brighten your smile, and ensure that your bite is aligned properly to reverse or prevent problems with the alignment of your jaw.

Will a full mouth reconstruction address my concerns about the look of my smile?

Yes. We believe that you deserve a smile that's not only healthy, but beautiful as well. That's why we use only the most natural looking materials when working on your teeth. We use state of the art porcelain materials for crowns, fillings, and veneers, to ensure that your dental work blends in beautifully with your natural teeth.
We also use porcelain veneers extensively for their speed, close resemblance to tooth enamel, and to correct the appearance of slightly damaged or misaligned teeth.

Why should I worry about the alignment of my jaw?

Your jaw is a delicate and complicated mechanism. The temporomandibular joints (TMJs) on each side of the jaw are where the lower jaw connects to the skull. Your jaw is capable of a full range of motion, including up and down, side to side, and back and forth.

Because these joints are precisely tuned for a broad range of motion, it is easy for them to become misaligned as a result of tooth loss, worn teeth, or poorly fitted dental work. This can cause a range of serious symptoms including headaches, excess tooth wear, difficulty speaking and chewing, and tooth and bone loss.

What procedures make up a full mouth reconstruction?

Your full mouth reconstruction will be custom designed for you, because each of us is dentally unique. However, some of the more common procedures making up a full mouth reconstruction are:

Is a full mouth reconstruction right for me?

If you have several dental problems that you'd like to have addressed, a full mouth reconstruction might be the right solution for you. If you have just one or two things to fix, separate procedures would be better.

If you still have questions or aren't sure what's right for you, call us today to schedule your free personal consultation. We'll answer any questions you might have.

How long does a full mouth reconstruction take?

This will depend entirely on your particular needs and preferences. In some cases, we may be able to complete all the work you need in as little as two or three visits. In other cases involving more extensive procedures, it may take several months, and if orthodontic treatment is required, it could take a year or so.

Dental visits make me anxious. What are my options?

We offer both sleep and sedation dentistry. This gives you a wide range of options for pain management and anxiety reduction.
