We don't ever want our patients to put off dental work because of anxiety. That's why we offer a range of options to ensure your safety, comfort, and well being.

We offer options to reduce pain and relieve anxiety, and we even offer sleep dentistry with general anesthesia administered by our dedicated anesthesiologist.

Pain management

For all of our procedures, we offer local anesthesia to numb the treated area..

We also provide prescription painkillers when necessary, to manage any pain following a procedure.

Sedation

If you suffer from serious anxiety during dental visits, we also offer sedation options to ensure that you can be relaxed and comfortable during the procedure.

In some cases, we may prescribe a sedative to be taken prior to the scheduled appointment, so you can arrive at our offices calm, relaxed, and comfortable. (In that case, you would need to arrange for transportation rather than driving yourself.)

In other cases, we offer conscious or 'twilight' sedation, with nitrous oxide (laughing gas). This is administered through a breathing mask fitted over your nose during the procedure. You will be conscious and calm. Most people report feeling no anxiety when they have nitrous oxide.

Sleep dentistry

If you’ll be undergoing invasive procedures, many procedures, or if you feel severely anxious, a complete general anesthesia can be given. A fully trained and highly experienced anesthesiologist would monitor your vital signs and make sure of your full and comfortable recovery of consciousness afterwards.

When sleep dentistry is used, we can do several procedures in quick succession, while you’re peacefully asleep. Then you wake to find everything done, and no more dentist visits necessary for another 6 months (for your general checkup and cleaning).
